Restorative Dentistry in San Diego, CA
Without healthy teeth, you’ll never be able to smile with confidence. Our dental office in San Diego, CA help you build and keep a lasting smile with our general dentistry and restorative dentistry services Strong, disease-free smiles are essential to a balanced diet, proper speech, and even the type of impression that you make on the people around you.
At Hornbrook Center for Dentistry we provide some of the very best cosmetic restorations in all of San Diego. In fact, some of Dr. Hornbrook’s and Dr. Souza's patients are dental tourists, which means they come from across the country and abroad for the best dental care possible.
We offer restorative dentistry services such as:
Composite Dental Fillings
Tooth-colored fillings are less invasive than traditional metal (amalgam) restorations. They also blend with the surrounding tooth structure for a low-profile. Depending on the size of your cavity, a white filling will cost between $225 and $500.
Metal-Free Porcelain Crowns / Implant Crowns
For the best aesthetics possible, Dr. Hornbrook and Dr. Souza recommend traditional porcelain crowns that we design alongside our Master ceramist. A crown is used to protect and restore teeth that have been severely decayed, broken, or treated with a root canal. They can also be placed on top of dental implants to replace missing teeth. An average price range for crowns is $1,600 to $2,500.
If you are having implants put in, Dr. Hornbrook and Dr. Souza will work alongside the oral surgeon or periodontist to make sure that you have something to wear at the time of your extraction or implant surgery, so that you never have to go without teeth.
Custom Porcelain Dental Bridges
Like crowns, our porcelain dental bridges are hand designed between Dr. Hornbrook and our Master ceramist, for around $4,000 to $8,000 per bridge. Bridges are used to replace a missing tooth between healthy supporting teeth on either side. You can also place them on top of dental implants to replace several teeth at one time.
Extractions and Wisdom Tooth Removal
When a tooth is non-restorable or badly diseased, we may recommend having it removed to prevent infection spreading to adjacent teeth. The cost of a simple extraction may be as low as $275, while a more complex wisdom tooth removal could be $785.
If the tooth or teeth being removed are vital to having a healthy bite or beautiful smile, we may recommend having a bridge or implant crown placed in that area. Timely tooth replacement can help you avoid unwanted movement or shifting in your other teeth.
Full Mouth Rehabilitation
When a smile makeover goes beyond cosmetic needs, full mouth rehabilitation will help you return your oral health back to an optimal (and beautiful) condition. Dr. Hornbrook will utilize a combination of various restorative services, such as crowns, bridges, bonding, or more, so that your entire bite can be brought back into proper function.
If all of your teeth need to be replaced, ask about implant-supported denture options, which can cost between $10,000 to $40,000, depending on how complex your situation is.
“Where Do I Start?”
Your new patient exam is a complex visit where Dr. Hornbrook and Dr. Souza will analyze your smile, tooth-by-tooth. We ask that you reserve approximately two hours for this visit, so we can guide you through our recommendations and a customized care plan. Be sure to ask about our 0% 12-month financing option.
